In the Universe ‘House’ is where it all began and will always be revisited as one of our five core fragrances.

A study by Universe of Harth found the following- 

  • Home is supposed to represent a haven, a foundation, the beginning, or another individual that shaped their idea of the home space. 
  • Odors are a significant part of what comes to mind when one remembers home.
  • The change of seasons impact home and colder months have been most challenging at home.
  • The average consumer of fragrances wants their home to smell “clean”. Not like cleaning products, they want it to smell “fresh”.

When you think of home is it a question of what does your house smell like or what smell reminds you of “home”? The Universe of Harth brand was originally named ‘At Humans’ (we were Humans at home) and launched during a global pandemic. At that time it was imperative that the smell of “home” did not smell like your house. It was created to remind people of the ideas around home-warm, furniture smells like wood and leather are in the heart of the scent with last impressions being more familiar and musky.

Universe of Harth begins every chapter with a series of questions. Understanding that every experience in smell and odor is never the same, the work towards scent design is intrusive and obviously personal. Whenever fragrance studies are conducted by our team one of the most important pieces of information are smells that trigger experiences, both good and bad. That’s how powerful fragrance is.
